Photograph Collection
Besides original photographs of Croatian soldiers and citizens from the period of the Homeland War, the Collection also contains an immense number of photographs taken by professional and artistic photographers, among them: Pavo Urban, Milo Kovač, Miro Kerner, Božidar Gjukić, Marija Braut, Željko Šoletić, Matko Biljak, Božidar Vukičević and others. The Collection contains almost six thousand photographs.
The Collection also systematically documents political life, personalities and events in the wider Dubrovnik area in the 20th century, particularly those tied to the revolutionary labour and trade union movements, the People’s Liberation Struggle, post-war construction, but also the time of the Serbian-Montenegrin aggression in 1991 and the Homeland War, which is recorded in over five thousand very valuable original photographs.
